EJ754 – Subcontractor Evaluation Manager

Location: Stevenage

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Subcontractor Evaluation Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

To provide support to the Supply Chain Control Manager in the smooth functioning of a department with responsibility for ensuring that the evaluation, maintenance, and review of suppliers and subcontractors and the management of associated documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for the management of third-party evaluation processes, particularly the evaluation of new subcontractors, by ensuring that evaluation documentation is reviewed and processed accurately as it is received and that timescales for returns are met. This includes liaising with third party and internal contacts as necessary.
  • Supporting members of the SCC team in achieving departmental objectives, including providing training to junior team members and development of their skills for particular tasks.
  • Working with other departments and business units to promote best practice with regard to matters relating to supply chain control, affirming standardisation of process while also recognising and promoting valid opportunity for positive improvement.
  • Deputising for the Supply Chain Control Evaluation Manager in times of absence.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of working as manager in a SHEQ environment and undertaking extensive subcontractor evaluations.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Effective communicator both written and verbal.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive.
