Location: Normanton
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a SHEQ Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
The purpose of this role is to maintain and implement safety and environmental management controls and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the engineering team.
- Handling both Quality and Health and Safety matters.
- Manage, devise and maintain Quality and Environmental procedures, processes, standards and specifications in relation to ISO.
- Conducting site inspections.
- Conduct accident investigations.
- Conduct audits as required; planned and investigative.
- To work with site management to ensure all training needs for the anticipated workload are met.
- To carry out Safety Induction Training on all new starters.
Skills and Qualifications:
- IOSH or NEBOSH
- Good written, oral and computer-based communication skills.
- A self-motivated and structured approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- An understanding of relevant health & safety legislation
- ISO 9001, 14001 or 18001 Internal Auditor training.
