EJ749 – International Groupage Supervisor (LTL)

Location: Dover

Salary: £27,000    

Hours: Monday-Friday, 0830-1730

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an International Groupage Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the department and provide a professional service to stakeholders at all times.
  • Full departmental Profit & Loss responsibility for your area of control.
  • Staff management.
  • Comply with the legal requirements for all activities of the LTL Operations department.
  • Customer and Supplier relationship management.
  • Market observation.
  • Check Bordero’s (advices of goods arriving into Dover) from depots and transmit onto the system for delivery.
  • Organise direct deliveries and part/full loads.
  • Receipt of customer orders and entering the data onto system.
  • Check paperwork.
  • Check POAO goods and register with Agent.
  • Check load pad for Export.
  • Organise Hauliers and raising Haulier confirmation.
  • Advising the Depot and POAO Agents for export to proceed in a timely manner.
  • Promote company values and code of conduct in all that you do and to others you come into contact with.
  • Adhere to company rules, policies and procedures constantly and encourage others to do the same.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation impacting on your role where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that confidentiality is applied where appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in an International LTL environment (an International CPC holder would have a distinct advantage).
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Able to compile and collate data.
  • Proven experience in a people facing role.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Self-starter and able to work on own initiative.
  • Able to support, motivate and coach staff to maximise individual and team performance.
  • Competent in using own initiative and maximise resources to source effective solutions.
  • Capable in working to fluid targets and deadlines.
  • Proven verbal, written, mathematical and communication skills.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and able to deal with difficult customer conversations/or internal stakeholder demands.
  • Willing to undertake training that may be required for the role.
  • Able to communicate in another European language would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Hold a valid passport/travel card and full driving license.
  • Able to travel elsewhere in Europe and within the UK, if required.

Salary: £27,000
