LT6 – Grounds Maintenance Operative (Gardener)
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £22,916 per Annum circa
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a Grounds Maintenance Operative.
Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Grounds Maintenance Operative:
- Border maintenance, using two stroke powered hedge trimmers and hand tools.
- Client Liaison.
- Daily Record keeping/reporting.
- Grass cutting, strimming using petrol powered strimmer’s and ride on/pedestrian grass cutting machinery.
- Hedge cutting.
- Occasional landscaping.
- Sports field markings, both initial and overmark.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving licence as use of a company vehicle is required during the working day. (B+E Trailer entitlement an advantage).
- PA1 PA6A Spraying Licence.
- NVQ level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent.
- Chainsaw (any level).
- Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in the industry.
- Experience using petrol powered grounds machinery.
- Good horticulture knowledge.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
- Ability to keep accurate records for use in reporting works undertaken to clients.
- Ability to perform general/daily maintenance on machinery.
- A positive can-do attitude.
