LB75- Forklift Operator (Counterbalance)     
Location: Rochester
Salary: £25,000 per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a forklift operator.

Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator:

• Tipping large containers of rice, in bulk and bags through the tipping area (2 staff required on bag containers).
• Rip and tip – returned damaged stock, repacking, stacking and storing stock.
• Lorry loading/unloading.
• Yard organisation/pallets/recycling.
• Involves heavy lifting and manual work.
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
• Ensure all containers are unloaded quickly and safely.
• To help and cover within multiple areas.
• All job duties to be carried out on a daily basis.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Current Forklift Truck Driving Licence (Counterbalance).
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.
• Forklift Truck Driving Licence (Reach).
• Flexible as and when required to cover staff holidays and absence in Tipping, Loading, Mill and Packing teams.
• There is a requirement to work occasional night shifts so the ability to flex across both shifts.
