 Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experience Fleet Planning Manager for Tornado in KSA. The successful candidate will have 10 years’ aircraft maintenance experience and at least 7 years’ experience in a relevant (Part M-related) role and the ability to demonstrate to at least Practitioner level knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness, on the Tornado platform, and in the aircraft maintenance environment.

ROLE OBJECTIVE & OUTLINE RESPONSIBILITY:

Solution development/bid phase:

  • Lead the development of the Tornado Support Service Fleet Management Service, including assessment of ‘as is’, gap analyses, and mobilisation (resourcing/ recruitment, technical preparations, initial fleet planning activities, etc.)

Upon mobilisation of CAMSS:

  • Provide effective leadership for the development, management, and delivery of the Fleet Planning capability, including Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) and maintenance planning activities, for the RSAF Tornado platform.
  • Lead and manage a competent team of personnel, to develop and deliver Fleet Planning at Strategic and Tactical levels, whilst maximising operational availability and minimising maintenance impacts on the flying programmes.
  • Establish and maintain a network of technical communication channels across the KAAB Part M organization and with key internal stakeholders and external organizations including the customer.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to the Head of Tornado Service Integration for development of an effective and risk-balanced fleet management service for the Tornado Support Service.

Development of appropriate requirements and expositions/management plans.

Assessment of ‘as is’ fleet planning status and capability, then gap analyses and improvement/mobilisation planning and implementation.

Resourcing/recruitment of appropriate team during mobilisation and into contract award.

Entry into service preparation for the new fleet management service, including relevant pre-contract award fleet planning activities as appropriate to prepare for handover of responsibilities to the Prime Contractor. 

Upon mobilisation of CAMSS:

  • Responsible to Tornado Head of Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Service (CAMSS), for all tactical and strategic fleet planning activities, for the RSAF Tornado platform, including RB199 engine and all life components.
  • Ensure all maintenance requirements – scheduled maintenance, modifications, AMP changes and customer / Part M requirements – are generated, collated, prioritized, and tasked effectively.
  • Responsible for the through-life management of all Continuing Airworthiness records associated with Fleet Planning.
  • Ensure that Fleet Planning Leads implement and maintain a robust Statement of Work (SoW) process for scheduled maintenance requirements, delivered through Pre-Input Review Meetings (PIRM) and Post Output Review Meetings (PORM).
  • Manage flying rate adherence, Flying Hour (FH) and Fatigue Index (FI), across the Tornado fleet, in accordance with approved data and contract requirements, to effectively manage aircraft life consumption.
  • Provide detailed Fleet Planning briefs at internal and customer meetings, ensuring any Fleet Planning-related actions are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Manage fleet spares through analysis and modelling to develop recommendations as to the appropriate spares disposition configuration standard mix within the stock holdings, to reflect aircraft configuration standards and fleet size changes.
  • Provide Fleet Planning SME advice across the Part M organisation, the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), MODSAP and the Company’s SA E&M Function.
  • Review draft Technical Instructions (TCTO, SB, etc.) to assess impacts on the fleet and recommend effective implementation strategies for authorisation.
  • Review draft Reliability reports and support reliability investigations as required, to ensure reliability programme recommendations to amend AMP are valid, effective and have minimum impact on customer flying operations.
