Location: Mitcham, London
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 Per Annum DOE
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting one of our established and expanding businesses in the search for a Events Labourer
The Events Labourer will be reporting to the Senior Installations Technician/Senior Project Managers/Project Managers. You will be part of the industry’s largest and most trusted suppliers of drapes, rigging and other related products. Their services range from straight forward dry-hire to full installations and bespoke pieces.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting or devising plans and realising them on site
- Pre- checking of all equipment
- Preparation, marking out and assembly of rigging
- Assembly of truss structures
- Set up and utilizing powered and traditional access equipment
- Slinging, lifting, suspension and de-rigging of production elements
- Hanging drapes
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects
- Sometimes working in cramped, dark, hot and dusty conditions
- Climbing ladders or working on walkways
- Driving company vehicles to site
Skills and Qualifications:
- Work effectively independently and as part of a team
- UK Driving Licence (preferable)
- Problem solving
- To be physically fit to carry equipment and drapes
- To be able to work at heights
- Calm, resourceful attitude under pressure
- Stamina and good co-ordination
- Prepared to work long and often anti-social hours
