AL458: Customer Support Administrator

Location: Colchester, Essex 

Salary: £19,000 – £21,000 + Performance Bonus + Progression

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking Customer Service Support on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To progress service interventions from initial call through to invoicing following all relevant processes and procedures.
  • Produce and process parts quotations and orders.
  • Pick, box and ship in line with company policy.
  • Coordinate back orders and parts identification with technical depts.
  • Assist service team with parts identification to support service interventions.
  • To manage the parts returns process for parts, service, warranty and installations in an efficient and timely manner.
  • To work with Financial Controller to ensure UK stock is in place, and stock area managed effectively.
  • Support field service team with van stocks and gas usage data.
  • Work with team to develop and promote maintenance agreements.
  • Ensure that customers are informed of all aspects of service and support requirements and activities.
  • To pro-actively communicate with customers regarding quotations, purchase orders and payment.
  • To promote all aspects of products and services, including the production of marketing media.
  • Assist the team with the maintenance of service related Quality and Health and Safety.
  • To maintain and develop relationships with key personnel through regular contact, including site visits with technicians.
  • To identify and alert the management team to opportunities for service and support revenue.
  • To work efficiently and effectively with the team to fulfil overall company objectives.
  • To complete any reasonable task at the request of a Management Team and Customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC / HND electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Have good IT skills.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Be willing to learn and develop.
  • Have an ability to work within a team.
  • Be driven and determined as you will need to be keen to learn the fundamentals of tasks required within a smaller size company.
  • The role will develop admin skills with SAP, CRM and service support software, that enable the company to function, with the ultimate goal of development into a service leader or field sales role.
