EY95 Contracts and Tenders Specialist

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per Annum DOE


First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a Contracts and Tenders Specialist.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be expected to manage the submissions for national and large regional medical device/medicine purchase frameworks, contracts and tenders for the company.

You will also be expected to optimise the company’s commercial use of new and established contracts and frameworks

Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Contracts and Tenders Specialist:

  • Develop relationships between the company and key external contracts customers across both the NHS and private sector.
  • Plan for framework review timings, ensure tenders are completed for England, Scotland and Wales and support tenders for Ireland where required in conjunction with the company’s distribution partner.
  • Be involved in mini competitions, reverse auctions and other procurement approaches.
  • Develop the use of contract and frameworks trade routes to provide optimum commercial outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with key internal stakeholders including sales and marketing, supply chain administration team, quality and regulatory affairs, accounts and senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. (Desired)
  • CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or equivalent qualification. (Desired)
  • Experience in a similar contracts and tenders’ role.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices and/or NHS in a contracts and tenders’ capacity.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office including spreadsheets and databases).
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and able to keep calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing/tender text authoring skills.

  • 37.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm or 8.00am – 4.00pm
