Location: Newcastle

Salary: £25,000 – £29,000

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are Currently seeking an Aftermarket Sales Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

The purpose of this role is the continued development of the Aftermarket Sales provision which is crucial to the business model and your primary focus will be growth in the areas of short-term rentals, ancillary sales and used equipment sales.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase customer owned truck base by finding opportunities and selling profitable Service Agreements to prospects.
  • Sell used equipment units in line with planned expectations, purchase only.
  • Submit Service Estimates that exceed a pre-determined value set by the local Depot/ Service Manager to establish the best way forward.
  • Proactively seek new Short-Term Rental business locally.
  • Manage and participate in, team sales of Aftermarket items including.
  • Offer support to all elements of the Trading Team.
  • Adopt the company’s activity reporting matrix and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Develop relationships with approved Suppliers as and when requested.
  • Carry out the handover of Short-Term Rental equipment into New Accounts.
  • Site survey support.
  • Carry out Customer Account reviews each month.
  • Truck Deliveries/Handovers to new customers.
  • In conjunction with Company Health & Safety Rep and external Health & Safety Manager ensure Company and Legislative Health & Safety Conduct requirements are met and adhered to.
  • To establish and maintain adequate safety and security procedures to protect company property, cars, equipment and personnel.
  • To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional, well presented, and conscientious.
  • Good customer facing and presentation skills, customer focused.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • People management skills.
  • PC literate.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Ability to create a local strategy with the Depot/ Service Manager and work on own initiative.
  • Achieve to plan and forecast. “Targets will be set locally and will be subject to change periodically”.
