EJ580 – Technical Advisor

Location: South East

Salary: £30,000 OTE’s £6,000 paid in monthly instalments

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Advisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Responsible for performing detailed and technical inspections of operational MIS surgical equipment at customer sites and subsequent production of comprehensive report for the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-field in-use inspections of rigid endoscopes and associated instrumentation according to well defined criteria using specified operational, visual and mechanical inspection.
  • Conduct EP1 audits using the Tray Audit Database in line with operational standards.
  • Accurately document the results of the inspections.
  • Photograph defective equipment in line with EP1 procedures.
  • Arrange appointments directly with customers and organise EP1 calendar alongside other team members.
  • Perform other EP1 services including Hospital staff training, onsite Troubleshoots & instrument exchanges.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
  • Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
  • Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.
  • Work with production management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly procedures.
  • Using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Writing and presenting reports for customers.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Reviewing and updating health and safety policies and ensuring they are observed.
  • Attending conferences and training as required.
  • Carry out any ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Manager or for Business needs.
  • This role will be field based with admin functions based at home.
  • Ensure compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • This role will involve Manual Handling on a daily basis.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualification and/or experience within a technical or auditing role.
  • Experience/work placements within engineering (aviation, manufacturing, power generation, offshore, defence, automotive, precision engineering etc.) would also be of benefit.
  • Customer facing skills are key.
  • Organisational skill are essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously is vital.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential along with a full working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Project/PowerPoint/Access/Outlook).
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
