AR315: Spray Tanker Driver and Operator
Location: Cambridge
Salary: Circa £35,000 (£135 per day)


First Military Recruitment are currently supporting one of our established and expanding businesses in the search for a Spray Tanker Driver and Operator.

Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating the fleet of spray tankers on site:

o    Phoenix Sprayer.

o    ACMAR Sprayer.

o    SECMAIR Sprayer.

  • Loading and unloading of sprayers in line with company procedures, ensuring the shift specific fleet vehicles are loaded with required bitumen.
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers/operators to inspect and maintain HGV/ spray tanker fleet in accordance with established company standard and procedures.
  • Ensuring the shift specific fleet vehicles are prepared and checked for operation.
  • Carry out duties according to the program schedule and ensuring all needed paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Completing daily checks/ Vehicle Defects to ensure the functioning of the sprayers is correct, inspect and maintain vehicles and records in accordance with established company standards and procedures at start and end of working shift.
  • Looking after the sprayers; completing maintenance and maintaining the cleanliness of the tankers both inside and out.
  • Keeping the workplace clean and tidy. Including the working site and the company depot.
  • To wear the correct safety equipment/ PPE at all times and to follow Safety Systems of Work where necessary.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Travelling to other sites in and outside of the UK will be required.
  • Flexible in order to meet business requirements for all shifts and deadlines will be required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Class 2 Driving Licence.
  • ADR Licence – Class 9 Tanks.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Mobile Device Knowledge.
  • Specific business / work related skills.
  • Spray Tanker Operator Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • A self-starter, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach, solutions driven, flexible approach to workload.
  • A flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of the business.
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload to meet conflicting demands.

Salary: Circa £35,000 (£135 per day)
