HA88: Service and Installation Engineer
Location – Fieldwork throughout the UK with regular visits to their head office in Leatherhead
Salary – £32,000 – £33,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit a Service and Installation Engineer to join their team based in Leatherhead
Our client are seeking a service engineer to be responsible for attending customers’ sites to undertake installation, commissioning, planned maintenance and reactive service calls.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To attend site as instructed to carry out servicing, repair, installation, commissioning and planned maintenance of humidifiers and dehumidifiers throughout the UK.
- To bring any issue affecting the equipment’s performance or safety to the user’s attention and recommend suitable remedial actions.
- To provide written reports summarising the work done, parts used, remedial work and corresponding parts required on completion of each service call.
- To complete all relevant and necessary in house or external training tasks within specific timescales.
- To regularly review your schedule of service and installation calls to ensure you fully understand the overall requirements of each job both technically and logistically.
- To follow the company’s service and installation process to ensure you provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Promoting our products and services over the phone and on-site during service visits.
- Always keep suitable and sufficient levels of spare parts, materials, and consumables on your vehicle.
- Ensure all stock movements between the warehouse, vehicles and site are recorded correctly.
- Carry out relevant and necessary in house or external training
Skills and Experience:
- Humidification and dehumidification products offered and supported by the company.
- The technical processes and procedures required to provide our services on site.
- Plumbing/pipe fitting skills.
- Microsoft SharePoint with respect to technical resources available to you.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Communication both verbally and in writing.
- Health and Safety with respect to both your individual and company obligations.
- You must hold a full, clean, UK (United Kingdom) driving license.
- You should have good working knowledge of Microsoft office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, and One Note)
- Be flexible within your role and be able to step outside the remit of your job description from time to time to meet the company’s needs or requirements.
- Apply your knowledge and experience to unfamiliar technical or operational situations and deliver practical, workable, and effective solutions.
- Be capable of problem solving both technically and operationally to meet the needs of the business.
- Undertake regular comprehensive product training with the manufacturer and in house.
- Help with the marketing via promotion of our equipment through social media.
