Location: Uckfield
Salary: £30,000 – £37,500
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
The business produces a variety of specialist building supplies for clients within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the production team whilst ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor production rates and quality
- Line management of the production team assessing and reviewing the performance of the team and individuals. Encouraging teamwork, motivating, training, and coaching. Addressing under-performance while ensuring good performance is recognised.
- Being ultimately responsible for the day-to-day performance and strategy of the production department
- To champion and manage continuous process improvements to achieve best value
- Ensue projects are delivered on time
- Carry out machinery maintenance if required
- Take a hands-on approach to the production line
- Work closely with the Sales Director and Operations Manager
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in management and production.
- Knowledge of production process
- Knowledge of bills of materials/costings/time in motion
- Experience in management/leadership roles
- Ability to effectively manage and develop a team

Salary: £30,000 – £37,500
