HA17: Manufacturing Planner

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Manufacturing Planner on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To co-ordinate and be responsible for the workshop forward load resourced schedule to achieve contractual delivery dates.
  • To liaise with, and feedback to, the Project Planners, Engineers and Managers of progress and impact.
  • To liaise with workshop management and personnel to gain understanding of progress status and potential issues across all projects.
  • To liaise with Procurement to obtain latest delivery status and update programme activities to satisfy the project requirements.
  • To propose solutions to mitigate potential progress issues and develop an agreed revised workshop plan.
  • Ensure workshop capacity is utilised efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • To develop and produce fully resource loaded manufacturing programmes from logic diagrams, liaising with Industrial Engineers for updates and feedback.
  • To attend and contribute to regular workshop briefings.
  • To support the Planning department to produce Contract and Tender programmes when requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 years proficient experience of Primavera P6.
  • Proficient with use of MS Office suite.
  • Experience of manufacturing processes within an Engineering Manufacturing environment is required.
  • Good communicator, pro-active problem solver and self-motivated team player with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Thorough with a high attention to detail.
  • An Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent) is desirable.
