Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for Maintenance Technicians.
Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.
Hours 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday 8am-1pm Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
- The position is for a dayshift operative working in a metal fabrication plant.
- Welding plant, Cranage, basic electrical fault finding and maintenance.
- Expected to stay behind for breakdowns, also use Saturday am to have access to machines for maintenance / repairs.
- Callout required should there be plant breakdown, call out rate 4 hours plus whatever time you have onsite fixing the machine.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Time served as a fitter/electrician.
- The desired candidate would have experience with welding plant, cranage, basic electrical fault finding and maintenance.
- Having plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic experience would be an advantage.
- The maintenance systems are run on Microsoft word and excel so PC knowledge is desirable.
Benefits:
- An attendance bonus of £30 per week, giving £6 per day.
