AR224 – Head of Service Design & Transition

Location: Shrivenham, Swindon

Salary: £50,000 – £53,500

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Head of Service Design and Transition on behalf of one of our clients.

This role consists of providing support to a number of areas of the business including; supporting the Sales team to qualify and respond to new opportunities, support Service Operations and Technical departments to design and implement new support processes and supporting project in the delivery of new technologies and/or services.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the business by developing and maintaining the Service Design and Transition function from engagement through to business as usual.
  • Work with process owners to ensure processes and procedures are maintained for integrity and reliability.
  • Process design and integration.
  • On-board new services, customers and suppliers following the Service Gate Process and utilising business tools. This will include customer engagements and running workshops.
  • Writing Service Documents as required by contract deliverables.
  • Engage with the sales team to support bid management.
  • Work with the Service Operations team to identify any service improvements during the transition of new services.
  • Produce and provide update report to line management.
  • Managing a small team who will assist in design and transition duties.
  • Chairing internal Service Management Board meetings
  • Accountable for maintaining Service Design and Transition policy and associated documentation.
  • Maintaining the department CSIP.
  • Assist with ISO Audits.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capable of communicating with customers at all levels through face to face meetings, telephone and email communications.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to attain and hold UK National Security Check (SC) Clearance. Current SC preferred.
  • Desirable:
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • ITIL Expert.
  • ITIL 4 Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 20000 and 27001.
