LB82 – Engineering and Stores Coordinator
Location: Rochester
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per Annum DOE
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for an Engineering and Stores Coordinator.
Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities of an Engineering and Stores Coordinator:
- Coordinate the purchasing of items for use in reactive tasks, only as defined on the appropriate W/O.
- Create suitable reports to indicate the effectiveness of the system, accuracy of stock reconciliation and the number of stock turns.
- Efficiently carry out any assigned task or duty.
- Ensure all work undertaken is reportable and auditable (Parts to reorder report, Purchase order status report, deliveries outstanding report).
- Ensure all works carried out are compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
- Ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times.
- Liaise with members of the Engineering team to fully understand Assets, PPM programmes and stores stock requirements.
- Maintain the stores areas to make best use of the space available and establish a “user friendly” facility.
- Manage the re-ordering of stock items as dictated by the system’s pre-determined maximum/minimum requirement.
- Provide flexibility when required for the good of the business and the team.
- Set up monthly cyclical stock taking as directed by the Facilities and Store Manager.
- To continue the development of CMMS system.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role.
- Able to work as part of a team when required.
- Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience working in a solo role within a store’s environment.
- Computer literacy, having used CMMS packages.
- Competent in report writing.
- Ability to follow instructions and use own initiative.
- Capable of applying a logical, analytical and “can-do” approach.
- Must be objective driven with attention to detail.
