First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Electronic Instrumentation Technician on behalf of one of our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity testing and repairing instruments where faults are detected through testing in production cells. Electronic Instrumentation Technicians conduct supporting tasks such as booking components to keep stock records accurate, as well as being involved in improvement activities.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out tests using test specifications.
  • Identify faults to component level using appropriate test equipment.
  • Carry out repairs to the required IPC standard.
  • Conduct cycle counting.
  • Fault find PCB’s and instruments from technical drawings/circuit diagrams.
  • Test, fault-find and repair instruments and PCBs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • HNC/ONC or 5 years’ experience in electronics industry.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • To be highly self-motivated and can work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
