We are excited to be supporting one of our prestigious clients, an expanding software provider, who are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to explore new revenue streams to achieve growth targets, and to explore new business opportunities. 

The role will be primarily focused in the retail sector and potential candidates must be able to provide value through experience of working in a Software / SaaS environment working within that environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the client and internal stakeholders to develop and implement plans that support increased sales and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate existing accounts.
  • Create, develop and maintain sales strategies with our key vendor partners and where appropriate, incumbent system integrators.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast at all times.
  • Meet and exceed bookings, revenue and margin targets.
  • Help our clients to meet or exceed their key target objectives through increased customer satisfaction.
  • Work with colleagues in other internal departments ensuring the sales lifecycle pulls together and delivers to manage expectations of the clients.
  • Ensure that all internal stakeholders are aware of significant opportunities that will affect the Company.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in business development and account management including growing and managing revenues with strategic clients, with a focus on up-selling Professional Services as a product, alongside SaaS.
  • Proven business development experience in the Software / SaaS field particularly within the retail sector  with experience in selling complex services.
  • Extensive knowledge of, and wide range of contacts within, the Retail / IT Services / Technology industries.
  • Knowledge and experience of a structured sales process.
  • Experience in the development of cross functional relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive results working with various departments both internally and externally.
  • Experience of developing relationships across the UK, Nordics and Benelux highly advantageous.
